Pitimbu, rescues its culture as a whole against the second Saturday of the month, CULTURAL denominated FORTNIGHT .
The meeting is held with the participation of several local artists and artisans and organization of City Hall and Department of Tourism , with selling crafts and workshops, as the famous coconut fiber work, where the artisans, turn the thread of coconut tree in fish, baskets, animals and fruit, worthy of many awards across Brazil, this technique is found only in this Coast Paraiba; another piece that has done so much success is the art of Lia Cashew, with fish scales, that become crafts and biojewels ; crochet art , mosaic and other peculiar in Northeast lands are also found in FORTNIGHT CULTURAL.
Typical and traditional foods are presented in this event: as salted fish and algae, tapioca, panelada of Aruenda with seafood Sea, typical sweets like coconut candy in passion fruit and lemon guenga and pulps made in the settlement New Life.
But what delights us are the cultural city presentations, that each hour, promote the eyes and heart, a meeting of the highest quality culture, because in Pitimbu was born Aruenda Group da Saudade, precursor of Maracatu, with their gorgeous clothes delight and make the tourist dig in to dance. Are presentations of capoeira with Master Sergio, Gil Brazil, the famous dancer Brazil with choreography involving and teaching dance of frevo and other rhythms.
